Overview | Albania always has been known abroad as one of the best examples in the world for the harmony, co-existence and living together different religious communities. During their millennials history the Albanians never had a war or conflict based on religions. We have so many stories left by many foreign historians, travelers, traders and so on whom were wittiness of this harmony. The last confirmation came on September 21 2014 when Pope Francis declared this statement during his first official visit in Europe organized in Tirana, Albania. This tour was made for travelers whom want to go deeper exploring Albanian heritage, history of religions, historical and religious context. We are so proud to show the visitors our small country, just 28.747 km2 with a population of around 3.3 million people but in it is well preserved the connection between 4 religious communities that are still living here. A very dark period was during the communism, especially 1967 till 1990, during the Cultural Revolution. We were declared the first atheist state in the world. All these will be clear through the visits in many religious temples and buildings around the country and thanks to our guides, experts on their fields. |
